Following the commercial success of her debut single 'Numbers' last year, alt-pop artist Katie Richardson aka Hex Hue has joined creative forces with NI Music Prize nominated producer, Arvo Party, to release their collaborative single 'Anyway'.
Rich and dynamic vocals punctuate through a warm and pulsating haze of synths, symbolic of the uncertainty we are trying to overcome. The subtly of the verses, juxtaposed with the bright, euphoric chorus creates a cathartic effect that is emotionally reflected in the final lyrics of the song "All I wanted was to run".
'Anyway' is beautifully emotional, full of longing and hope for better days to come. It was definitely inspired by the times we are living in - running into this misty, uncertain way of being and hurtling forward with hope that we will come out the other side.
